I was born in Glasgow and grew up in London. I wrote stories before I could read, and I’ve been writing them ever since. I studied in Manchester and London.

I wrote the Kingfisher Series with its powerful themes for teenagers. Since then, I’ve done a lot of research and daydreaming and have written Prince Solomon for middle-grade children. I enjoyed writing for this age group so much I’m now hard at work on Solomon’s next adventure.

When not writing, I can be heard playing the harp or found taking long walks with my husband in the New Forest where we live.
